Our Mission
ChildWise Learning exists to elevate the quality of early childhood education by providing accessible, evidence-based professional development to educators, center directors, and childcare professionals across the United States.
We believe that every early childhood educator deserves high-quality training that is grounded in current research, aligned with national standards, and designed for the realities of working in early childhood settings. Our courses are built to meet the continuing education requirements of state licensing agencies, the CDA credential renewal process, and IACET accreditation standards — while delivering practical knowledge that educators can apply immediately in their classrooms.
Through our partnership with the ChildWise Management Platform, we extend this mission to childcare center operators and multi-site organizations, enabling them to track staff professional development, ensure compliance with training requirements, and build a culture of continuous learning across their programs.
Organization
IACET Accreditation
ChildWise Learning, LLC is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and offers IACET CE hours for its learning events that comply with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard. IACET is recognized internationally as a standard development organization by the International Standards Organization (ISO).
As an IACET Accredited Provider, ChildWise Learning has demonstrated compliance with the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard, which is internationally recognized as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. All courses offered through the ChildWise Learning platform are designed, developed, and delivered in accordance with these rigorous quality standards.
Our Founder
Adam Grass
Founder & Lead Instructor, ChildWise Learning
Adam Grass is an early childhood education entrepreneur, operator, and advocate with over a decade of hands-on experience owning and operating licensed childcare centers in Michigan. He is the founder of Heritage Hollow Childcare Centers and ChildWise Learning, and has been formally recognized by both the United States Congress and Senate for his contributions to the early childhood education field.

Conflict of Interest Policy
ChildWise Learning requires all instructional personnel to disclose any financial or professional relationships that could present a conflict of interest in the development or delivery of continuing education content. All course content recommendations are made solely on the basis of educational value and relevance to early childhood education practice.

Intellectual Property Rights Policy
All course content, assessments, instructional materials, and multimedia resources published through the ChildWise Learning platform are the intellectual property of ChildWise Learning, LLC unless otherwise noted. This includes course text, slide content, quiz questions, activity prompts, video scripts, and design documents.
Learners are granted a personal, non-transferable license to access course materials for the purpose of completing their continuing education. Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, shared, or repurposed without prior written authorization from ChildWise Learning.
Where third-party content is referenced or cited within a course, appropriate attribution is provided and use complies with applicable copyright and fair use provisions. Instructional personnel who develop course content do so as work-for-hire, and all rights are assigned to ChildWise Learning, LLC upon creation.
Organizational Responsibility for CE Compliance
CE Compliance Director
Adam Grass, Founder
As founder and sole proprietor, Adam Grass holds direct responsibility for all aspects of IACET compliance, including course design and development oversight, instructional quality assurance, assessment integrity, CE issuance and recordkeeping, and continuous improvement activities.
The CE Compliance Director is responsible for ensuring that all continuing education activities comply with the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard, including:
- Conducting or commissioning formal needs analyses prior to course development
- Reviewing and approving all learning outcomes for measurability and alignment
- Validating assessment instruments against stated learning outcomes
- Overseeing the CE calculation and pilot study process for each course
- Reviewing learner evaluation data and initiating improvement actions
- Maintaining complete learner records for a minimum of seven years
- Scheduling and completing annual content reviews for all published courses
Record Retention Policy
ChildWise Learning retains all learner records for a minimum of seven (7) years from the date of course completion, in compliance with the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard.
Records retained include:
- Learner identity and registration information
- Enrollment dates and course completion timestamps
- Assessment attempts, scores, and pass/fail determinations
- CE certificates issued, including certificate numbers and CE hours awarded
- Post-course evaluation survey responses
- 60-day follow-up survey responses
- Accommodation requests and resolutions
- Support ticket history
All records are stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase with encryption at rest and in transit. Database backups are maintained on a rolling schedule. Learner data is accessible only to authorized administrative personnel and is never sold or shared with third parties except as required for IACET accreditation review purposes.

Internal Review & Continuous Improvement Process
ChildWise Learning maintains a systematic process for reviewing and improving all continuing education offerings, in compliance with IACET Standard Category 9.
Annual Content Review Cycle
Every published course is assigned a review date within 12 months of publication. During each review, the CE Compliance Director evaluates course content for accuracy, currency, and alignment with current research and regulatory requirements. Courses that fall below quality thresholds are flagged for revision and cannot be re-published until updates are approved.
Data-Driven Improvement
The following data sources are analyzed on an ongoing basis to identify improvement opportunities:
- Post-course satisfaction survey results (Kirkpatrick Level 1) — courses with average satisfaction below 4.0/5.0 are flagged for immediate review
- Assessment performance data — questions with high incorrect rates are reviewed for clarity and instructional alignment
- First-attempt and overall pass rates — courses with pass rates below 75% trigger content and assessment review
- 60-day follow-up survey results (Kirkpatrick Level 3) — used to evaluate whether learning outcomes translated to workplace behavior changes
- Anomaly detection flags — unusual completion patterns are investigated to ensure assessment integrity
Closed-Loop Improvement Tracking
When a quality flag is triggered, the CE Compliance Director logs the specific issue, the corrective action taken, and the outcome of that action. This improvement action log is maintained as part of the IACET evidence package and is available for accreditation review.
Learner Support Services
ChildWise Learning provides comprehensive support services to learners before, during, and after their continuing education experience.
Pre-Course Information
Prior to enrollment, learners have access to a detailed course syllabus that includes the course description, learning outcomes, estimated duration, CE hours available, CE alignment (CDA, NAEYC), prerequisites, assessment requirements, and the CE calculation methodology. This information is available on the course detail page and downloadable syllabus.
Technical Support
Learners may submit support tickets through the platform at any time via the Support page. Support requests are tracked, prioritized, and responded to by administrative staff.
Accommodations
Learners who require accommodations due to a disability or other need may submit a formal accommodation request through the platform. Requests are reviewed and responded to promptly, and approved accommodations are implemented before or during the learning event. The platform is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. Available accommodations include extended assessment time, alternative content formats, and modified navigation.
Post-Course Support
After course completion, learners receive immediate notification of their assessment results, access to their CE certificate for download, and a permanent transcript record accessible through their dashboard. Learners who do not pass the final assessment receive detailed feedback and may reattempt the assessment according to the course's attempt policy.
