Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on or accessing the ChildWise Learning platform at childwiselearning.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and ChildWise Learning, LLC (“ChildWise Learning,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
2. User Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You may not share your account credentials with another person or allow another individual to complete coursework or assessments on your behalf. CE certificates are issued based on the representation that the registered account holder personally completed all course requirements. Misrepresentation of identity or completion may result in revocation of certificates and account termination.
3. Course Content & Intellectual Property
All course content, materials, assessments, and instructional resources available through ChildWise Learning — including but not limited to text, graphics, audio, video, slide presentations, case studies, activity prompts, quiz questions, and downloadable materials — are the exclusive property of ChildWise Learning, LLC and are protected by United States copyright law and international intellectual property treaties.
Permitted Use: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course content solely for your personal professional development purposes while you maintain an active enrollment in the applicable course.
Prohibited Use: You may not, without the prior written consent of ChildWise Learning:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any course content
- Record, screenshot, or capture course materials for redistribution
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from course content
- Use course content for commercial purposes, including resale or use in competing training programs
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices from course materials
- Share course access credentials or provide unauthorized access to course content

4. CE Certificates & Continuing Education Credits
ChildWise Learning is an IACET Accredited Provider. Continuing Education (CE) hours are awarded upon successful completion of all course requirements, including achieving the required passing score on the final competency assessment.
CE certificates are issued to the individual who completed the course as registered under their account. Certificates include the learner's name, course title, completion date, CE hours awarded, certificate number, and IACET accreditation statement. Each certificate is uniquely numbered and verifiable.
ChildWise Learning makes no guarantee that CE hours earned on our platform will be accepted by any particular state licensing agency, employer, or credentialing body. It is the learner's responsibility to verify that our courses meet their specific requirements.
5. Assessment Policies
All course assessments must be completed by the enrolled learner without unauthorized assistance. The following policies apply to all assessments on the ChildWise Learning platform:
- All course modules and activities must be completed before the final exam becomes available
- The passing score for final competency assessments is 80%
- Learners are allowed a maximum of 3 attempts per assessment
- The highest score across all attempts is recorded
- Detailed feedback including correct answers and explanations is provided after each attempt
- Learners who exhaust all attempts may contact support for assistance
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform or its servers
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the platform
- Submit false or misleading information in support tickets, accommodation requests, or surveys
- Engage in academic dishonesty, including having another person complete coursework or assessments on your behalf
7. Limitation of Liability
ChildWise Learning provides its platform and courses on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ChildWise Learning disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
In no event shall ChildWise Learning, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to ChildWise Learning in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Shiawassee County, Michigan.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email. Your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
